A note from our school director

Hi, my name is J.A. Garza

  • LinkedIn

With over 20 years of experience in commercial driver training and education, I deeply understand the challenges and risks that fleet managers and companies face. I have successfully helped large corporations improve the safety performance of their fleets and reduce the likelihood of collisions involving their vehicles. I am committed to bringing this same level of expertise and success to your company.

There are three primary ways I can help you, and each can be tailored to the specific needs and challenges of your company:

1) ACCIDENT PREVENTION

In 2022, the average cost of a non-fatal disabling injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident is $78,900, while the cost per death is $1.31 million. In accidents where no injury or death has occurred but merely property damage, the cost is $17,500.

→ I am deeply committed to reducing the likelihood of collisions involving fleet vehicles and MOTUS vehicles driven by company employees. This commitment is not just a promise but a driving force that ensures I bring a highly engaging safety training program focusing on driver behavior and safe driving practices.

2) DRIVER BEHAVIOR

Committing to having your drivers in defensive driving classes and observed by a professional safety evaluator can address behaviors such as speeding, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and fatigue, contributing to increased crash risk.

→ My driver evaluation is not a one-way process. It's an interactive learning experience that provides feedback to your drivers regarding routes and techniques, refreshes pertinent information, and encourages them to ask questions about safer practices they can implement.

3) VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

Ensuring fleet vehicles are properly maintained is essential for driver safety and keeping company costs down.

→ Your drivers will review pre-trip and post-trip inspection procedures before and after their driving evaluation, focusing on air brake tests and looking for other vehicle damage.

Safer fleets through driver education is a goal and a commitment we can achieve together!
